What is RohoPay?
A unified payment gateway for East Africa — mobile money, Visa/Mastercard, digital products, and wallet infrastructure in one API.
Overview
RohoPay is a payment platform built for East Africa. With a single API you can:
- Collect mobile money — MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, M-Pesa, Tigo across Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda
- Accept cards — Visa and Mastercard with 3D Secure via Relworx
- Sell digital products — create payment links, deliver content automatically after payment
- Manage a wallet — check balance, top up, withdraw to mobile money, transfer to other users
- Integrate WordPress — WooCommerce payment gateway plugin, no code required

Always start with a test_ key. Switch to live_ only when you have verified your integration end-to-end.
Local Development
When running the monorepo locally, the apps are served on these ports (overridable via env vars):

The dashboard apps proxy /api/* to the Go API. Set NEXT_PUBLIC_API_BASE_URL (and the per-app NEXT_PUBLIC_ADMIN_URL / NEXT_PUBLIC_DIGITAL_URL / NEXT_PUBLIC_WORDPRESS_URL) to point them at your local API.
